About Life and Hope Rehabilitation Organization (LHRO)
Life and Hope Rehabilitation Organization (LHRO) is a registered Non- Government Organization that promote public health by providing harm reduction services, counseling, substance abuse recovery programs and economic empowerment to recovering addicts as well as advocacy on health rights, policies and integrated-based HIV services and stigma free interventions to reduce HIV and TB.
Our Activities
REHABILITATION
LHRO provides support through recovery programs for substance abuse (including marijuana, khats, heroine, cocaine and alcohol) through its Life and Hope Bagamoyo sober house.
HARM REDUCTION
LHRO provides a linkage of People who use drugs (PWUD) to Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) clinics to access methadone services that are offered at Bagamoyo District hospital.
PSYCHOTHERAPY AND COUNSELING
LHRO have experienced health experts and psychotherapists that are committed into ensuring client’s positive health improvement.
MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS
LHRO has a competent personnel and team that carry out community awareness for mental health to attain proper mental health and reduce stigma
COUNSELING ON BETTING ADDICTION
In contributing to the welfare of betting games’ firms and commending to government efforts on reducing the harms of betting and gambling.
