Life and Hope Rehabilitation Organization (in its acronym LHRO) is a registered Tanzanian Non-Governmental organization that is committed to advancing public health, social protection, and human dignity for marginalised and vulnerable populations. LHRO works to address intersecting health, social, and economic vulnerabilities by promoting harm reduction, mental health support, HIV and TB prevention, and rights-based service delivery in stigma-free environments.
LHRO, whose headquarters are located in Kinondoni, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, operates fully-fledged Rehabilitation Centres at Bagamoyo District in Pwani region and Mwanza region respectively.
LHRO, like other stakeholders, works in collaboration with various stakeholders, including the Government of Tanzania through relevant ministries,the Drugs Control and Enforcement Authority (DCEA),NASHCOP, TACAIDS,MDH,THPS, UNODC, UNICEF, UNDP, AMREF,CDC,and NACOPHA, to mention a few, in the promotion of health, fight against drugs, HIV/AIDS and TB in Tanzania.

The main objective of Life and Hope Rehabilitation Organization is to dedicate its services to the community rehabilitation, counseling, capacity building, social and economic empowerment of youth and the disadvantaged groups in providing education, trainings, harm reduction services and promote public health and provide support through recovery programs for substance abuse as well as advocacy on health policies and promote integrated rights-based and stigma free interventions to reduce HIV and TB in Tanzania Mainland.
